Dominy Brothers and Sisters History

R.J. Dominy (1885-1919) was born at Pennington, Texas. He married Miss Clara Mortimer and both were teaching in Jones School House when he died. They had one son, Frank, who died in 1928. John Everett Dominy (1887-1962) came to the Grapeland area to teach at Livelyville. He was married to Miss Minnie Ola Price from Lovelady. They had 3 children, Clayton, Wilma (Mrs. Chester Cunningham) and Harold. Everett also taught at Enon where his sisters Leona and Lillian taught with him. He was there in 1927, 1928 and 1929. He and Lillian also taught together at San Pedro. Leona Dominy, born in 190 3 at Pennington, Texas, became Mrs. Ben R. Brooks and had 2 children, Ben Edward and Dorothy (Mrs. George Steele). She taught school until retirement. Lillian Dominy, born in 1907, married T. W. Dunnam of Livelyville and had 1 daughter, Joy, and taught school until retirement. Her daughter taught in one school with her. All four and Brother Robert attended Sam Houston Teachers College.
